In spring 2011, I attended a design conference (the Design Leadership Summit) in Copenhagen assembled by Design Investors LLC. There I met a particularly interesting gentleman by the name of Jeremiah Goodman. Jeremiah is a watercolorist and has painted amazing impressionist interiors (among other things) throughout his long career, some of which were showcased in an exhibit at the New York School of Interior Design in fall 2010.

An eminently talented individual, Jeremiah began his career as an illustrator for Lord & Taylor, muraled the walls of a Manhattan restaurant, designed a line of wallpapers (sadly now discontinued), and painted the private residences of glitterati the world over.

His creative space makes me smile (and reminds me so much of Cole’s office).

This year the Design Leadership Summit is in Marrakech, Morocco. Cole and I are so excited to attend again and really look forward to re-connecting with Peter Sallick, Margaret Touborg, and Dana-Christine Colla (the driving force behind Design Investors LLC), and genuinely hope the inimitable Jeremiah Goodman makes the trip as well.
